About

Ashley Erazo, MPA PA-C

Ashley is originally from Los Angeles. She attended the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). During her time at UCSD, Ashley joined the novel Pre-Physician Assistant Student Organization (PPASO) in hopes of gaining a better understanding of the Physician Assistant (PA) career. Ashley became passionate about becoming a PA with the knowledge shared through PPASO. She became the co-president her senior year and helped develop the first annual “Dine with a PA” event where local PAs share a sit-down dinner with aspiring Pre-PA students. In 2012, Ashley obtained her bachelor’s degree from UCSD in human development with an emphasis in brain development.

She then attended Loma Linda University (LLU) in San Bernardino County and obtained her master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies. During her time at LLU, she completed an orthopedic clinical rotation at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, a level two trauma center. Some of her experience with the orthopedic team included assisting in polytrauma cases in the operating room, assisting with closed reduction of fractures in the emergency room, and injecting visco supplementation and steroid injections for patient’s knees and shoulders. This clinical rotation helped solidify Ashley’s interest in orthopedics. She finished her clinical year and graduated from LLU with Dean’s List honors in 2018.

Ashley happily returned to San Diego and joined Grossmont Orthopedic Medical group in 2019. Under the guidance of Dr. Hanson, Dr. Hacker, and Dr. DuBois, she continues to expand her orthopedic knowledge and experience with total joint and sports related pathologies.
